Commissioned Writing
I can write based on:
• a topic
• a theme
• a message / company philosophy
Does your company, foundation, or publishing house have a mission or philosophy?
For example: “safety and togetherness” for a childcare center, or “helping everyone find their own inner strength” for a coaching company?
I can translate your core values into words and visuals by creating a picture book or children's book tailored to your organisation. This results in an accessible and meaningful publication.
A printed book is wonderful to hold, but an e-book can also be an appealing and cost-effective option. It makes a unique gift for business partners or employees—for example during an anniversary celebration. Almost everyone has (grand)children. Your publication becomes an original way to draw attention to your company.
Childish? Not at all!
A children’s book doesn’t have to be “childish.”
Just think of the beautiful picture books by Shaun Tan, which many adults buy for themselves. Books with messages you want to reflect on for days. And picture books about love are increasingly given as Valentine’s gifts.
Project Case: Going to the Juliana Hospital
Commissioned by the Haga Kinderziekenhuis and the Erasmus Medisch Centrum, I created e-books about the intensive care unit and hospital admission. Their purpose is to inform and prepare children for their visit.
Hospitals can be quite scary for kids, but by reading these books, they know what to expect. This reduces stress and makes the experience less intimidating. The story contains simple animations.
Julian is going to the hospital.
He has to stay overnight for an operation. Of course he’s nervous, but the nurses are very kind. And the doctors explain exactly what will happen.
