Feedback Stages

1 SKETCH
-Shows the overall content
-Choice of composition and poses
-Made in pencil/digital
-Not yet coloured
-Up to 3 versions to choose from
-Note: exact proportions of the characters will be refined in the next drawing stage (development)

You assess the illustration in one feedback round, focused on content: pose, composition, and perspective.

2 REFINED SKETCH
-Shows the content and drawing style
-Characters are now drawn with the correct proportions
-Choice of drawing style (for example more cartoony or more realistic)
-Made in pencil/digital
-Roughly coloured

You assess the illustration in one feedback round, focused on form: drawing style, chosen clothing, emotion, and character design.
Feedback on content is no longer possible at this stage, as that was approved in the sketch phase.

3 FINAL ART
-Shows content, drawing style, and technique
-Choice of drawing technique (for example digital pastel)
-Neatly and fully coloured

Feedback on form and content is no longer possible, as these were approved in the previous stages.
Only small colour adjustments are still possible.


If a project is cancelled halfway by the client:
For the sketch / development / final art stages, I charge 33% / 66% / 100% of the illustration fee respectively. 

Character Design 
Character design also follows 3 feedback stages..

Extra Revisions
For each illustration stage, it is specified what you can give feedback on. Need changes later that fall outside of those agreements? (For example: in the final stage you suddenly want different poses.) In that case I charge an additional fee for extra work. I will always inform you in time, so you can decide to skip the extra changes and avoid additional costs.
